OOPS

MAY 21 ob 21h Puppet theatre Ljubljana
– MAY 31 tanzhaus nrw Dusseldorf – JUN 5 Old brewery Poznan

Dance solo by Polish dancer and choreographer Anita Wach and director Bojan Jablanovec. Oops, deals with the mechanism of mistake, which acts as a loop with no way out. At a time when we rotate around the repetition of the same mistakes, and while searching for solutions which trigger only further series of errors, the history is gradually losing its meaning. “Enlightened mind” is stuck at the court of the Sun King Louis XIV, and any attempt to find the solution is cynically doomed to fail. Video trailer

The project is part of the program module-dance in the frame of “Culture Programme of the European Union,” produced by Art Stations Foundation Poznan and Via Negativa Ljubljana and co-produced by tanzhaus nrw Dusseldorf and, in the frame of residence program, Dance Ireland Dublin.

THE MOBILE ARTIST

MAY 23-26 Performance Center Helsinki

Wokshop and seminar by Bojan Jablanovec. Imagine what would happen if people of Helsinki would decide not to move for a one day – if they would repeat John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s Bed-Ins for Peace from 1969 for one single day? It’s not only the system of production that requires mobility – it’s also the consumption that couldn’t run without it. Stillness has the power to shout down the complete system. System needs us to move. It pays us to be mobile. Read more

MAYBE IT IS TIME

FOR THE TWO OF US TO TAKE A MOMENT…

MAY 16, Neforma, Španski borci Ljubljana
JUN 4, Cofestival Ljubljana

Does the concert sound better than the music? What are we really busy with while performing? Maybe it is time… is a series of encounters with the audience, in which a musician Tomaž Grom and a dancer Loup Abramovici take a moment to respond directly to their own rendition. These are moments of awareness about what you actually produce in front of viewers, for which during the pre-structured performance, you simply cannot take time. Creators follow the belief that in music and dance there’s no conflict between content and form, but only a conflict between form and its presentation. Produced by Zavod Sploh and Via Negativa.
