The agony of a body without idea
and the impotence of an idea without body

The main performing challenge for this collective presentation was a fascinating 23,5 m high concrete stage hole – architectonic core of monumental building of Youth Centre Split, which was designed as a Cultural Centre of Socialistic Youth in the year 1979 and never finished since. In the year 1984 the construction was terminated and since today this space in the centre of the city remains nonfunctional. This concrete sarcophagus offers us an ideal context to present selected performances on the agony of a body without an idea and the impotence of an idea without a body. In the gallery of Multimedia Culture Centre (MKC) – which occupies smaller, and today the only functional part of this building – a complete video retrospection of Via Negativa 2002 -2008 performances has been presented.
