3rd sentence of the 30 Movements cycle
A couple – the most iconic and most banal representation of a relationship. It forms a closed semiosphere built on principles of reciprocation, complementation and mirroring. The distance is annihilated. During an act of extended embrace, two persons turn into a self referential hybrid separated from the world. Thin line between ‘outside’ and ‘inside’ draws from the impossible wish: to exchange mutual love and to expel the others. The body of the partner becomes a surface for communication, semiotization and political statement.
