“The hare really enacts – something a human can only do in imagination. It burrows, building itself a home in the earth.”

Joseph Beuys
5th sentence of the 30 Movement cycle

The hare is a symbol of fertility and vitality, as well as rebirth, resurrection and self-sacrifice. On the day of the fight against the occupier, the rabbits one by one occupy the quietest place in the city and slowly turn it into a meadow. Life takes over history. A herd of animals happily leaps between the sterile white walls of the monument. They do what hares are supposed to do: eat, jump, fuck. They live.
