The personnal myth

Autant pour moi! is an attempt to fill the gap, the distance, between the personnal history, the personnal myth that the author/performer tells about himself, and an »objective« concrete past; by digging into the memories left from a long passed childhood, Loup tries to revisit the failures, deceptions, achievements, ambitions  and other features and make out of those, a physical material to perform a last dance.

The performance is Loup’s response to the question of whether a dancer 45+ should consider the end of his dance career? Retraining, retirement or any new path? Ageing and obsolescence at a time when the ideal of youth is a omnipresent dictate? His creative ambition is primarily directed towards exploring and establishing relations, potentials and interactions between the one who speaks and the one who remains silent; between what is visible and what remains invisible; between what is spoken about and what cannot be spoken about. “I can’t imagine anything else but to perform until the end, until my body can’t keep up anymore.” (Loup Abramovici)
