Love as misunderstanding
Stories about the victims of the consumerist ideology of love, about bizarre and absurd forms of self-indulgence and about escaping from new disappointments. The performance, full of sweet romantic songs and love clichés, uses the audience as a group therapy for the disappointed, the deceived and the humiliated. Casablanca ends with an invitation to the audience to come on stage and touch the performers, following the instructions on their laptops. The project is part of the EU Development of New Art (DNA) initiative involving six European countries and led by Nová síť, Prague. The artists were selected during a one-week workshop in Prague.
