Physis Cinema
Video installation
Pandemic reflex
The Physis project was created during the Covid-19 pandemic. Due to the ban on public events, we adapted the performance entirely for video and broadcast it online in April 2021. The Physis video was created with the idea of broadcasting it as a view from four different cameras, which the viewer could switch between at will, thus editing their viewing experience. Due to technological limitations we were not able to realise the project in this form. The video installation Physis Cinema is a spatial projection of four simultaneous views on four projection screens. The viewer finds himself in a space defined by the projections of bodies in situations of choreographed contagion, invaded by Friedrich Nietzsche with his wild idea of the state as “the slow suicide of all”.
