Incasso

You know exactly what you want for your money

Incasso stops the established circulation of money as a medium of exchange. In the performance, the money with which the spectators have paid the entrance fee becomes the material that the performers use to make the artefacts. Each performance is a process of transformation of the exchange value of money into artistic value. Incasso ends with the signing of plastic bags containing the money from the entrance fees, soaked in the performers’ bodily excretions. Money has become a work of art. After a final round of applause, the producer Špela Trošt offers it to the audience for redemption at its artistic value, together with commemorative photographs.
