Freedom of Work
“Freedom of work shall be guaranteed. Everyone shall choose his employment freely. Everyone shall have access under equal conditions to any position of employment. Forced labour shall be prohibited.” (Constitution of the Republic of Slovenia, Article 49)
Given the constitutionally guaranteed freedom of work and the freedom to choose an occupation and to engage in work of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union (Article 15), it would seem that in contemporary society we have a completely free and unfettered hand when it comes to the question of what we shall do, how we shall do it, why we shall do it and for whom we shall do it. Carte Blanche focuses on our pleasures, anxieties and obsessions related to work, on economic slavery and the normative dictates of socially useful work-man-activity… The proceeds from the ticket sales were donated to the Friends of Youth Association Moste-Polje for a family in need.
