Workplaces of prostitution

Between February and June 2020, performer Rok Kravanja takes on the role of a customer for sexual services in the gay prostitution market and uses his mobile phone to document Slovenian workplaces of prostitution. Using the username pleasure8, he selects offers on one of the legal intimate dating portals. The project consists of 13 photographs, sexual offers and correspondence with the providers. All usernames have been replaced and personal data deleted. Although prostitution has been decriminalised in Slovenia since 2003, sex work is still highly stigmatised. As a result, services are provided with extreme discretion in apartments or in secret locations in the countryside.
