A handicapped system can only exist with handicapped people
“28 September 1990, Maribor General Hospital. A stone rolled on Pohorje and hit him in the left knee”. Thus begins the story of Primož’s knee injury, with extensive diagnostic and therapeutic documentation, which has not yet come to an end. Today, Primož is still an active actor, dancer and performer, diagnosed with Laesio menisci medialis genus dex. At every rehearsal and performance, he is still at risk of dislocating his knee again. The performance thematises Primož’s reality as a disability of a system that we maintain ourselves. At his request, the audience binds his arms and legs until he is left without functional limbs. A disabled system can only flourish with disabled people. Without broken knees and elbows, it is impossible to exist or thrive in this system.
