Tonight I Celebrate

On the depth and shallowness of the relationship between performer and audience
The title song “Tonight I Celebrate My Love” is the introduction to eight pop songs in which singer and performer Uroš Kaurin, accompanied by Tomaž Grom on double bass, declares his love for the audience: “Dear audience. I want to thank you. We have been through a lot. You with us and we with you. We have jumped naked on stage many times and we still do. We’ve dragged you to galleries and museums and made you play all sorts of games with us. We chased your money and made you bid for your money. We got you drunk on champagne and dressed you up between shows. We exposed our genitals, we urinated and masturbated in front of you and with you. You have endured a lot. There is only one reason why you are still with us. You love us. You must love us very much. More than we hoped, more than we expected, more than we can even imagine.”
