Performance as a process of artefact creation
A process of dismantling the old (the disassembly of the Vie Negative performances) and installing the new (the Via Nova Museum exhibitions). Eleven performers perform twenty situations from the Seven Deadly Sins performance cycle. Their actions have a common goal: to create twenty artefacts and to install an exhibition in the context of the permanent collection of the City Museum of Ljubljana. The performances take place simultaneously for two hours in three different museum spaces, with the audience moving freely between them during the performance. With this collective gesture, Via Negativa turns the performance into a function of creating an artistic artefact and setting up an exhibition. The exhibition was opened by the director of the museum, Blaž Peršin, and was on display for one hour.
