Mateja Pucko

Actress, performer

In 1997 she enrolled at AGRFT Ljubljana, where she studied under the tutelage of Boris Cavazza, Jožica Avbelj, Dušan Mlakar and Bojan Jablanovec. She made her professional stage debut in 1998 with Antonin Arteau’s Jet of Blood (Cankarjev dom Ljubljana, directed by Bojan Jablanovec). In 2000 she performed in SS Sharpen your senses (Glej theatre Ljubljana, directed by Sebastijan Horvat). In 2003 she began collaborating with Via Negativa platform. She has been a guest artist in almost all Slovenian theatres, she performed in an alternative theatre production of young directors and authors in Klagenfurt, in a co-production of HNK Zagreb and the Kairos Art Association she performed in Danka Ljuština’s summer play Idemo na more. In 2007, she created a movement-theatre project Vikeja with Viktor Meglič. Since 2005 she has been a member of the Slovene National Theatre Maribor. She acted in films Barabe (1999), Ljubljana (2002), Made in Slovenia (2007), Gremo mi po svoje 2 (2013), Skriti spomini Angele Vode (2008)… Since 2007 she has been a lecturer at the Moment Theatre School.
