A member of one of the first contemporary dance companies in Poland, Silesian Dance Theatre (Bytom,1996-2003), dancer in performances: ‘Oscillations’ (1996), ‘Notes from a briefcase- Gua-va’ (1997), ‘Wk-70’ (1998), ‘Innocent dreams on the Wane’ (1999), ‘Diary of Daydream’ (2000), ‘At the End of the Rainbow’ (2001), ‘Straight into the Eyes’ (2002). Starting from 2005 she worked mainly with Bretoncaffe Theatre (Warsaw) and collaborated with various artists as an independent performer and dancer. Performer and co-choreographer in Bretoncaffe performances: ‘Slam In’ (2004), ‘Slam Out’ (2004), ‘Dances of a Dreaming Body’ (2006), ‘Dancing Sarah Kane’ (2007), ‘Lizard’s manifesto’(2007), ‘Topinambur’ (2008), ‘Dion.Is.Us’ (2009), ‘Me,Agaue’ (2010).
Anita Wach was a resident in Pact Zollverein Choreographic Centre (2005), a scholar of Pro Helvetia (2003) and Polish Ministry of Culture (in 2011 and 2016). She took part in several international projects : interdisciplinary KonglomeArt (Berlin 2003), improvisation project ‘Blind Date’ and video- dance project (both polish – izraeli cooperation, 2008). She collaborated with leading polish choreographers Ramona Nagabczyńska and Tomasz Bazan. Anita is an author of several dance performances: ‘Inch 1,5’ ( 2006) , improvised work ‘on/off’ (2010), duet ‘weast.com’ (2009), solo piece ‘Mute’ (2013) and collective project ‘wrestless’ (together with Magdalena Stawman Tuka, Marcin Cecko, Paweł Smagała).
In 2010 she started ongoing collaboration with Via Negativa as a performer in projects directed by Bojan Jablanovec: ‘Casablanca Therapy’ (2010), ‘Shame’ (2011), ‘Just the beginning’ (2012), ‘So on and so forth’ (2014), ‘365 Falls’ (2018) and as choreographer in: solo ‘Oops’ (coproduction with Modul Dance, 2011), solo ‘100 toasts’ (2015), group piece ‘The Ninth’ (choreographic supervision, 2016) and ‘Sorry’ (2018). Performer in ‘Naked Life’ by Olja Grubić (2019). Movement consultant in performance ‘Rib Cage’ by Anja Novak.
Co-founder of TukaWach collective ( Warsaw/London/Ljubljana exchange project). Performer and collaborator in pieces: ‘Alive Alive Oh’ (2013), ‘Fight Fight that’s all we can do’ (2013), ‘Webcam girls of apocalypse’ (ongoing project initiated in 2015). Choreographer and co-director of performance ‘Private Inventory’ (2016) and choreographic installation ‘Vanitas Decomposed’ (2019). Initiator of ephemeral artistic group Kwartet Patetyczny, director and choreographer of group performance ‘gloria!’ (collaboration with Magda Tuka, Anna Steller, Magda Jędra).
